Don't complain the Beloved is listening

"Don't complain the beloved is listening", that is the title for one of the sufis poem by the great Jalaluddin al Rumi. Unfortunately i could only lay my hand on the translated title without the poem's body. I have tried in vain to search for the translated version but unable to find any. Nevertheless the title alone is enough for us to understand the intended message of the peom, i guessed. 

As servant of Allah it is a great sins for us to complain about our life, for when we complains we are implying that Allah don't know what best for us and at the same time we are saying Allah being unjust (zalim) to us. So long that we keep complaining about our lifes, complaining about others mistreating us, complaining  about our misfortune and ill fate we remain in the disgrace of not knowing our true self.

Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A.) once said "A person who has firm faith and believes in Allah doesn’t complain of others behaviour"

 
Next time before we complain we should remember that.....

If you think you are unhappy, look at them

If you think your salary is low, how about her?

If you think you don’t have many friends...

If you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

If you complain about your transport system, how about them?

The above was, (as i was told) from an email that was voted as the best email of the Year...I could understand why...because it touch everybody's heart. Does it touch yours?

Here is another opportunity for us to feel blessed,  for Allah has created us with complete arms and legs..not like Nick Vujicic.

Knowledge of all things is within us.

According to Ibnu Arabi, Allah deposited within all of us knowledge of all things, and then He blocked us from perceiving it; this is one of the divine mysteries that reason denies totally and thinks impossible. This mean that we are not able to gain this knowledge using our reasoning and thinking ability alone. Most of this knowledge is also not available by normal method of learning through books.

"And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful." (Quran 2:31)

The nearness of the mystery to those who do not know is like God's nearness to His servant, as proclaimed in His words,

"We are nearer to Him than you, but you do not see" (Quran 56:83) and His words, "We are nearer to Him than His jugular vein" (Quran 50:16).

Despite this nearness, the servant does not perceive or know anything; no one can know what is within himself until it is revealed to him moment by moment.

For those who seek and travel on the path to know himself this special knowledge will be revealed directly to him moment by moment. But this is only so after he reached a certain level of "knowing himself".

To reach to that stage he must do so under the guidance of Wise Spritual Master. It is wise for us not to deny the existence of such knowledge.

Hakikat mati sebelum mati

Seorang saudagar telah sekian lama memelihara seekor burung di dalam sebuah sangkar di rumahnya.

Satu hari ia mengambil keputusan untuk berangkat ke India, tanah asal burung itu, lalu menanyakan burung itu kalau-kalau ia ingin meminta sebarang buah tangan dari sana. Burung itu meminta kebebasannya, tetapi ditolak oleh saudagar. Karena itu ia minta saudagar itu pergi ke hutan di India dan memberitahu tentang keadaannya yang dalam hal dirinya yang di kurung itu kepada burung-burung lain yang masih bebas.

Saudagar itu pun melaksanakan pesan tersebut, dan sebaik sahaja ia mengucapkan pesan tersebut, seekor burung yang serupa dengan burung yang dipeliharanya jatuh dari sebuah pohon, tak sadarkan diri ke tanah.
Si saudagar berpendapat bahawa tentulah ia saudara kepada burung peliharaannya, dan ia pun merasa sedih kerana telah menyebabkan kematiannya.

Ketika ia pulang, burung peliharaannya bertanya apakah tuannya ada membawa sebarang khabar gembira dari India.

“Tidak,” jawab saudagar itu, “Aku membawa khabar buruk. Salah seekor saudaramu tak sedar diri lalu jatuh dekat kakiku ketika aku khabarkan tentang keadaanmu di sini.”

Sebaik sahaja kata-kata itu diucapkan, burung peliharaan saudagar itu pun tak sedarkan diri dan jatuh di dalam sangkar.

“Khabar kematian saudaramu telah menyebabkan kematianmu juga,” fikir saudagar itu. Dengan sedih diambilnya burung itu dari sangkarnya, lalu diletakkannya di tepi jendela.

Segera saja burung itu hidup kembali lalu terbang ke pohon berdekatan.
“Kini aku ingin memberi tahu kepada engkau,” kata Si Burung, “bahawa apa yang kau kira sebagai khabar buruk itu, ternyata merupakan khabar baik bagiku yang dipesan oleh saudaraku melalui kamu. Untuk mendapat kebebasan di dunia ini maka hendaklah kamu mematikan diri kamu, nescaya dengan itu engkau akan beroleh kebebasan.”

Dan burung itupun terbang, bebas merdeka akhirnya.

Cerita ini sesuai dengan hadis Nabi Muhammad s.a.w "Muutu Qobla An-Tamutu", artinya :"Matilah kamu sebelum Kamu Mati".

Kisah di atas memberi iktibar dan petunjuk penting kepada mereka yang ingin mencari identiti dan jati diri yang sebenar. Maka sebab itu lah barang kali Jalaluddin Rumi menukilkan sebagai tinggalan kepada mereka terkemudian untuk direnung-renungkan.
